FAO Country Offices Network

FAO country offices represent the operational interface of FAO with the Member Countries and are crucial for the ultimate success of the Organization in supporting the Governments of member countries in their efforts to eradicate hunger.

The main aim of the FAO country offces, which are headed by the FAO Representative is to assist governments to develop policies, programmes and projects to reduce hunger and malnutrition; to help develop the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors and to use their natural resources in a sustainable manner.
