A. UTF/GCP/MTF Projects
1) Name of the Project: UTF/NEP/059/NEP: Support to National IPM Programme in Nepal: Consolidation, Up-scaling and Institutionalization Phase II
Start / End date:- 2008-2013
Major Activities:-
- Strengthening the organizational and managerial capacity of IPM farmer groups/associations /field level technicians/government institutions.
- Expansion of FFS to cover the entire crop cycle of one year.
- Addressing the food safety issues in the context of global trade requirements( WTO-SPS agreement).
- Establishment of facilities for bio-agent rearing, bio-pesticide testing, and monitoring of pesticide residue.
- Introduction of IPM principles and approaches in universities, vocational schools and training centers.

- A set of suitable, location specific technologies for climate risk management, DRM and climate change adaptation within the agriculture sector identified and demonstrated through a participatory learning by doing process at district and community levels.
