60 Years Celebration

60 years

 

The achievement of 60 years of cooperation was seen as an opportune moment to reflect upon the successes achieved over those years while at the same time reaffirming the commitment and enthusiasm of GoN and FAO to maintain the momentum into the future.

 

Nepal FAO celebrated its 60 years of collaboration with the Government of Nepal(GoN) on 18-November-2011. The  celebration function was inaugurated by Rt.Hon. Vice President  Mr Parmananda Jha. On the occasion he expressed “... over the past sixty years, the technical assistance of FAO in various important areas of agriculture and rural development in Nepal has been invaluable and indeed praiseworthy. I would like to appreciate the efforts made by FAO in this regard and hope that the organization will continue its assistance in future too.”
