Mozambique receives 67.3 million Euros from the EU for the support to achievement of MDG 1c

World Food Day 2011

“Food prices- from crisis to stability” was the theme chosen for this year’s World Food Day, to shed some light on a trend that is hurting the poor consumer, the small producer and agriculture in general. Food prices, which were stable for decades, have become increasingly volatile. Various factors have contributed to this. Extreme climatic conditions combined with under-investment in agriculture and accelerating population growth, have increased the gap between food supply and demand, elevating prices further.
