Publications are central to FAO's work as a knowledge organization. More than 300 titles per year published, usually in multiple language versions, on topic such as hunger and food security, commodity markets, climate change, nutrition, fisheries, forests, rural livelihoods and much more.

FAO Ethiopia Library
Collections
The majority of documents in the main collection are FAO publications and documents. There are also documents and/or publications of International Organizations, UN Agencies, Government Bureaux, and the like.
The nature of most of the materials are monographic serials, monographs, project documents/reports. There are also materials in Multimedia: CD-ROMs as well as audio visuals.
Presently, the total collection stands at about 5,000.
Services
- Providing essential information, data and reference for FAO staff,
- Providing and assisting FAO Staff, and the public (post-graduate students, research workers, etc.) to have access to documentation, source material and information,
- Provides Internet access to the Organization online/electronic information recourses,
- Support to disseminate information on agriculture and food security.
Opening Hours
The Library is open to the public:
Monday and Tursday (8:30 am – 12:30 pm and 13.30 pm - 17.30 pm)
Friday (8:30 am – 14:30 pm)
