Mr Raúl Osvaldo BENÍTEZ
Mr Raúl Benítez, an Argentine national, has a Bachelor of Economics degree from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, a Master’s in International Economic Policy from the University of Belgrano, Argentina, and is working for a Doctorate in Economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. He has also taken various post-graduate courses, including study at Harvard University. Between 1987 and 1997, Mr Benítez was a university lecturer in the Economics Departments of the Social Sciences Faculty of the National University of San Juan, Argentina, and of the Economic Sciences Faculty of the Catholic University of Cuyo, Argentina. In 1995, he was appointed Minister of Economics and Public Works and Services of the Province of San Juan, Argentina. From 1996 to 2007, he worked for the World Bank as an economist and consultant in Buenos Aires, and also as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank in Peru, Colombia and Argentina. From 2007 to 2011, he was Minister of Production and Economic Development of the Province of San Juan, Argentina. Since the beginning of 2012 he has been Senior Adviser to the Secretariat for Rural Development and Family Farming of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries in Buenos Aires.
