Mr. Mbuli Charles BOLIKO
Mr Boliko, a national of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Kisangani, D.R. Congo. He also obtained a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in International Development from Nagoya University, Japan. More recently, he earned a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Strategic Management of Human Capital from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Mr Boliko started his career in 1988 as Assistant and Lecturer in the areas of Management and Administrative Law at the Institut Supérieur de Commerce in Kinshasa. While teaching at the institute, he also worked as Chief of the General Assembly Secretariat within the Conseil consultatif permanent pour le développement, a public institution, and later as Advisor and Chargé de mission in the Office of the Minister of Youth and Sports, D.R. Congo. Upon completion of his studies in Japan, he taught at the Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University before joining FAO as Personnel Officer in 1997. From 1998 to 2003, he served as Liaison Officer in the FAO Liaison Office with the United Nations in New York (LON), before being transferred to the Office of the Director-General as Attaché de Cabinet; he was promoted to the post of Senior Attaché de Cabinet in October 2008. In January 2009, he took up the position of Chief, Recruitment and Staffing Branch (CSHR) in the Human Resources Management Division. With the creation of the HR Support Service (CSP), CSHR was merged with the Organizational Design and Position Management Branch (CSHE) to form the HR Planning and Staffing Branch (CSPP), which was placed under his supervision starting from July 2012. Mr Mbuli Charles Boliko succeeds Mr Masato Ito as Director, Liaison Office with Japan, LOJ.
